VOV New Complexion Matte Liquid Foundation Review

Hope you all are having soothing summers.  So, today I’m going to review a latest addition to my make-up collection which is VOV New Complexion Matte Liquid Foundation. I have always used my mom’s foundation whenever I needed that touch of a party look for weddings and other grand parties. But, recently when I was looking out for the first lipstick of my life *wink*, I found this amazing matte liquid foundation which I fell in love with and hence couldn’t resist writing about my first foundation review! Thanks a ton IMBB family for teaching me the A to Z of make-up and ways to look prettier!

Product Description:

• Lightweight texture that spread very smoothly and evenly on skin.
• Great coverage without any stickiness and allows skin to breathe.
• Finish enhancing powder with light diffusing effect minimizes flaws, covers spot and freckies to give a luminous finish.

Ingredients:

Deionized water/ Na-carboxymethylcellulose/ Hectorite, Hydroxyethyl cellulose/ Triethanolamine/ Propylene Glycol/ Emulsifying Wax/ Dimethicone/ Methyl Parabean/ Propyl Paabean/ Stearic Acid/ Acrylates Co-Polymer/ Phenoxyethanol/ Titanium dioxide (Cl 77891)/ Talc/ Iron oxides (Cl 77491, Cl 77492, Cl 77499).

Directions For Use:

• Shake well before application.
• Apply to fingertips or sponge and spread evenly over face.

I picked the shade no. 01 Natural Beige which is a perfect match to my skin tone (you can see it in the swatch). It masks much of my dark spots and blemishes at one stroke. For an even flawless finish, I use my waterproof compact powder which is also of the same shade.

For someone like me who is still in the primary stages of makeup, a lightweight foundation like this is a miracle. It blends really well suiting my facial complexion perfectly and gives that desired matte finish it promise. Its SPF 25 is another reason why I prefer wearing it during daytime. It stays for more than 5 hours which is pretty okay for day to day use. I feel it is best suited for my partially oily skin.

Packaging:

The color of the packet is exactly of the same shade as the foundation i.e. Natural Beige. This is what I love about VOV products- matching colors of packaging with their product.  It comes in a glass bottle of cubic shape which is really cute! The cap is again smartly designed in the shape of a cube with a solid brush attached inside.

Price:

INR 150 for 25 ml.

Pros of VOV New Complexion Matte Liquid Foundation:

• Blends appreciably and offers a smooth, lightweight matte finish that is so natural.
• It has got SPF 25 protection.
• Easily affordable.
• Covers all undesirable spots.
• A small amount is enough for the entire face.
• Perfect for summers, doesn’t look cakey or sticky at all.

Cons of VOV New Complexion Matte Liquid Foundation:

• I could find none except I wish it had a dispenser. Availability might be an issue in some places. All in all, a super buy I would say at such a price.

I have heard a lot about VOV cosmetics. I have seen a lot of cosmetics of VOV brand in shops . This is a brand from Korea . These cosmetics are much less priced than other cosmetics of good brands.  Its general opinion in India that whatever comes from Korea , Japan , China , Thailand is not of good quality (even toys from these countries are discarded as they are not of good quality plastic and may harm children).  I am intrigued , how can they sell cosmetics at such low price ? Today, I saw a VOV blush kit in a mall , it had nice colours ( 4 shades ) and some very nice pressed powders too.  I am tempted to buy those blush and powders ( a kit of 4 blushes comes at 150 INR and the pressed powder comes at 150 INR) . But are they really good ? Are they really safe on skin ? Can I buy them ? I am novice in make up and since i joined IMBB, I am trying to learn simple make up.  So, I thought of buying those blushes. What do you recommend ?

VOV Eyeliner in shade #008 Review

Hope all of you are doing great. Today’s review is about an eyeliner from the brand VOV. It is about a shade that I have been searching for a long time. I wanted an affordable blue eyeliner for a long time and never found the right shade. Finally, my search ended with this eyeliner from VOV in the shade 008 without burning a hole in my pocket.

Price:

INR 80.

My Take on VOV Eyeliner in shade #008:

This eyeliner comes in a normal pencil form and has to be sharpened which means a lot of wastage. This shade is a very subtle cobalt blue with silver undertones and is a very wearable shade for daytime. It really brightens up my eyes without making me look too made up. I do wear it to office as well every now and then as I feel it really adds liveliness to my face.

The texture of this eyeliner is very soft and nice and it does not feel scratchy when applied and gives a good color pay off in just two applications. The staying power is decent at the price. I have oily lids and it stays on up to five to six hours.  I really love how smooth it is and glides easily on the upper lash area without hurting my eyes, does not cause any irritation to the eyes.

I would only say that at this price I don’t really mind anything though there is nothing I dislike about it.

Pros of VOV Eyeliner in shade #008:

• Dirt cheap.
• Beautiful blue for the eyes.
• Glides on smoothly.
• Soft and creamy texture.
• Brightens up the eyes.
• Good staying power for the price I paid.

Cons of VOV Eyeliner in shade #008:

• None except that there is product wastage while sharpening it.

VOV Lipstick in shade No. 17 Beige Review

Hope you all are having fun in summer Well today, I am going to review another shade of long-lasting matte lipstick from my favorite brand – VOV!!  I have two shades of VOV lipsticks from its range of long lasting matte lipstick.  I have already reviewed shade No. 19 – Natural Brown and now, I am reviewing the other one, shade No. 17- Beige. I picked up this one as I was totally satisfied with the results of the first one.

The availability of testers makes choosing them easy. I just love the matte packaging of the product with the same color as that of the shade itself. Its slim bullet is ideal for easy, quick application. The lipstick opens with a twist and closes with a “tic.”

My Experience with VOV Lipstick in shade No. 17 Beige:

This shade is a natural lip color ideal for regular wear. Its matte finish is to die for. The color stays for real long without fading and blends appreciably without creating fine lines. I love the smudged look more than the usual swiped look. The texture is creamy to apply, but dries within seconds setting perfectly. The best part is its highly waterproof and doesn’t get transferred.  I need to use a cleanser to remove it. I’m madly in love with this range, super obsessed!

For those who are masters in the lipstick smudging job, it’s a dream lipstick *hifive*.

VOV Ultra Smooth Moisturising Lipstick – Cheeky Pink Review

You know it rained today in the morning. I was so pleased to wake up with the tip-tip sound falling on my ears. After facing 45 degrees of day temperature, it was a slight relief.  Well, you must be thinking that I am high on VOV nowadays, but let me tell you I am high on all cosmetics these days. You will get to know about it in my future posts.  Okay, scroll down to know more about this lipstick.

INR 210 for 4.2 grams.

Ingredients:

Castor oil, candelilla wax, lanolin, carnoba wax, bees wax, petroleum jelly, propyl paraben, BHT, vitamin E.

My Experience with VOV Ultra Smooth Moisturising Lipstick – Cheeky Pink:

I find these shade names with VOV to be too cute. Well, it comes in a transparent glass, see=through packaging, which is really appealing. This is not as fragile as you may think it is. Its a thick sturdy packaging with a tight click lock. It is travel friendly and wouldn’t be damaged at all in your handbag. Also, since it is transparent, it is easy to find in the kit.

Coming to the shade, I would describe it as pinkish brown. I told you earlier, I love such shades.  No matter how many similar ones I have, I want to have more.  You do not need to wait for an occasion to wear such shades. These can be worn on every single day. Also, it would interest all age groups of women. See how impartial this shade is It is a saucy pinkish brown which remains saucy for all the time you wear it. A single swipe is enough for the color to show up fully. If you layer it on, it would bleed a little.

The lipstick is very smooth to apply and it glides on its own – going true by its name of ultra- smooth/moisturising. The freshly applied lipstick has a buttery sheen on the lips and it does not turn to a matte look unlike the previous shade of peach plum. No matter how long you wear it, it would never give you that dry feeling, it remains buttery.  At the same time, it does not feel heavy at all. The shade tends to get lighter with time, but I guess it is the story with every light shade. It stayed on me for good 5-6 hours surviving a meal and numerous water sips. It transfers a little but does not fade off from the lips.

Now, when you purposely sniff the bullet closely, it would remind you of a vanilla ice-cream, but otherwise, I did not notice any smell while applying. The previous range I reviewed did not give off any smell even when sniffed closely. I would still prefer this range since it is definitely better quality wise than the previous range. The price is also fair.

One more thing to mention is that if you do not keep this lipstick in a cool shady place or preferably a fridge, then it might start forming minute droplets on its surface. I think it is true for every lipstick in summers. This particular lipstick I bought a few days back, but there is a crack developing on its surface already.  I think I have to transfer all my lipsticks to the fridge or else they will all give up on their lives

VOV Ultra Smooth Moisturizing Lipstick in 531 Fashionable

How are you doing? Me? I am splurging on fruit juices one after the other- watermelon-orange-papaya-cranberry-etc. etc. I cannot do without them in such horrid summers.

Now I should hop on to the review. Well, I gave you a break from my “VOV after VOV” reviews. I reviewed three other things that were not from VOV but you know I have a lot of them to review yet. So here goes one more.

My experience with VOV Ultra Smooth Moisturizing Lipstick in 531 Fashionable:

This range of VOV has some wonderful names for their shades. This one is called fashionable. Isn’t it cute? The shade is indeed for fashionable pink lovers.

This range comes in a transparent glass see through packaging which is really attractive. This is not as fragile as you may think it is. It is a thick sturdy packaging with a tight click lock. It is travel friendly and wouldn’t be damaged at all in your handbag. Also, it is easy to find on in a heap of lipsticks that we sometimes create in our cupboards.

Coming to the shade, I would describe it as rose pink with peach undertones. It is one wonderful shade which lifts up my face and I love wearing this shade often. If you use blushes, add a peach blush with this lipstick and you will love your face. This shade will interest most categories of women. Like there is a category of shades that some particular ladies like and then there is one category which attracts almost all women alike. This one falls in the latter category. Also, since this particular one suits me so much I will never let this shade vanish from my vanity. It can be used by women with pigmented lips too. The color can be built up in one or maximum two swipes. If you layer it on, it would bleed a little.

My experience with VOV Volume Clubbing Ultra Black Mascara

I am just so crazy about Mascara’s . I was just looking at different brands of Mascara’s and this one caught my attention

The packaging is so cute with black and purple shades on the external tube

And the wand was so good that I immediately felt that this product won’t let me down.

It instantly added volume to my eye lashes after one application. You can apply 2 to 3 coats to make the eyes look attractive. I am in so much love with this product *happydance*
Finally found a cheap and best Mascara *haan ji*
Let me sum up the pros and cons.

• Easy to apply

• Adds volume instantly to the eye lashes after one coat
• Wand is pretty thick and good

VOV Crystal Shine Lip Gloss Pink Sugar

Hello sweeties,

First thing I would like to share is that I got a new Iphone..yay..!! I am soo happy..!! Coming to the review, I picked up one more shade from a local store. Actually I went to buy a my L’oreal night cream and this was kept on the shelf itself and as you know girls don’t always return with one thing, we always pick up 2 or 3 more and only then return home. The name of this gloss “pink sugar” and also the obsession with pink colour made me pick this up. The gloss looked pigmented and also there was a small picture of a lip swatch, so I was finally convinced to go for this one..!! So let’s jump to the main review.

Price:

Rs. 140 for 9 ml

There was no product description at all, neither on the box nor on the lipgloss. At least they could have written something like, it will give your lips a crystal clear shine or would give a glossy shimmery finish, but nothing at all . I guess they did not have time to print it or did not have enough space as the box is very small.

My experience with VOV Crystal Shine Lip Gloss – Pink Sugar:

I keep on trying a few things from this brand as they are good in quality and also there price is less compared to the other brands, but of course the quality also differs but that isn’t a big problem to give it a shot..!! This cute tiny gloss comes in a small box with the ingredients on it. Nothing special, I immediately threw the box after clicking pictures as it occupies unnecessary space. The gloss comes in a plastic long square shaped bottle with a shiny silver coloured cap. The gloss is soo easy to carry and at times when I don’t carry a handbag, I put it in my pocket, so you can imagine how tiny it is!! The shade is a nice shimmery one with little pink colour in it. It gave a good glossy finish to my lips and also added rosy colour to my lips which did not look artificial.

But you will not get the colour at first swipe, you will have to apply it twice or thrice because the wand is really small so it does not pick up much gloss, so you have to dip it at least twice. The wand is so soft hence no complaints about that. The smell is not that appealing, it smells very artificial and smells like oil that we use for cooking, I did not like the smell. But if you apply a nice flavoured lipbalm underneath then the smell wouldn’t be strong. The shade was not at all similar to the one shown on the box as that was highly pigmented and in reality it wasn’t, but it gave a sweet pink colour so I was not disappointed, but transfers to glasses as it was a little thick in consistency. The gloss says waterproof , the gloss stayed on my lips but the colour started to fade as and when I sipped water, but it stayed for like 3 hours so it was okay. Overall, it is a cute shade with nice glossy finish and very affordable too.

Would I repurchase/ recommend VOV Crystal Shine Lip Gloss – Pink Sugar?

I will recommend it as it is a cute colour and a cheap one too. People who want rosy lips with a glossy shine can go for this. I will not repurchase this as I have this one and it is very similar to my Maybelline fruity jelly berry bella, so I have to finish both of them and it is always fair to give the other products a chance too..!!

VOV Lipstick in 65 Vogue

Hey everybody..
How have you been?
Do not kill me for this but I have come up with a VOV lippie again.

See you cannot say I am VOV’s brand ambassador; I have been reviewing other brand’s products as well. You know buying more and more lipsticks is like healthy for me. Shopping cosmetics is a big stress-reliever (I do not have any stress-that is another story though )

Ok, let us jump on to the review. This is another daily wear shade. Scroll down to know more.

Shelf life: 3 years.

My experience with VOV Lipstick in 65 Vogue:

Packaging: it comes in a transparent glass kind of packaging and the shade is shown at the base. Number and name are printed on the sticker at one end. I love its name too- vogue. Now, if I compare the two ranges of VOV I have reviewed, I like the ultra moisturising range more since it goes completely transparent. You can see the bullet too. This one shows the colour at the base.

Quality: The texture is smooth buttery kind. The smoothness remains for a long time and does not set like a completely dry matte unlike many long staying lipsticks. The sheen of the freshly applied coat remains on my lips for a fairly long time and I should tell you that my lips are dry. The feel on your lips is like neither drying nor saucy-somewhere in between.

Odour: It is completely odourless unlike other lipsticks of lower price range. I cannot tolerate fragrances in my lipsticks unless it is of orange candy kind that I found in my inglot gel lipstick.

Shade: I would say it is a creamy pink shade with peach undertones. It is very close to the shade honey dew I reviewed earlier. The difference is that honey dew is more on the peachy side and this one is more pinky. It is an everyday wear shade. It can be worn on an evening party too. On formal occasions at night you need slightly brighter shades, so this would not work there. It would be an equal love for both college goers and married ladies. This is apt for ladies with pigmented lips too as it is nowhere a sheer lipstick. Also, it would suit almost all skin tones equally.

Staying power: now it stays for quite long too. It goes for around 4-5 hours and after that it lightens a bit to leave a pinkish residue on the lips. If you eat something, the colour would lighten but it would be there. When you try to remove with cotton, you will have to take wet cotton, it does not go completely with a dry one.

In short this is worth trying lipstick. For shades that you might not purchase from a high end brand, you can try them in VOV at very cheap prices. In my experience, the ultra smooth moisturising range has better variety of shades to offer than this one.

Pros of VOV Lipstick in 65 Vogue:

• Classy packaging with visible shade at the bottom.
• Decent, every day wear shade.
• Smooth buttery formulation.
• Completely odourless.
• Stays for long.
• Cheap price.

Cons of VOV Lipstick in 65 Vogue:

• The glass packaging is prone to breakage.
• Some lipstick may turn out to be defected like in my case the lipstick stopped rotating up but I got it replaced so no worries.
• No ingredients mentioned.
• Availability is an issue.

Will I repurchase this?

No, I will keep experimenting with newer shades.

Recommendation: I would recommend everybody to try these lipsticks.

VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04 Review

Hello everyone,

Today, I will be reviewing a liquid eyeliner I bought from “VOV” a couple of days back, and I couldn’t wait to share all about it with my dear IMBBians.  This is my first ever eye makeup from the said brand. So far whatever I have used from VOV has given me great results, and now, without any second thoughts, I can tell VOV is one of the best brands available in the market, if only it was marketed more and nothing different with this product as well, it was just so good!!

The eyeliner is a total value for money product. It comes in a long, pointed metallic colored, shiny maroon cap and the body is a black one. The cap is a screw one, but closes off and opens with a little “tick” sound. The whole thing has a girly and trendy look to it.  The little bottle along with a curve adds an extra dose of oomph to it. Comes with a precision tip for easy application, and could also be used by those who are beginners in the makeup world.

My Experience with VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04:

As we are all aware, VOV offers value for money products. Everything about the eyeliner is so satisfactory, be it the packaging, the look of it, the brush and its application or the quality of the content inside. Its waterproof and smudge proof, so it’s really not a problem if you are wearing it on a hot summer day and then if you start to sweat, but after application, you just have to be a little bit patient as it takes about 20-25 seconds to set properly, and after that you are all done.  It will stay on your upper/lower lids for about 5-7 hours and you wouldn’t need to worry about it.

The color pay off is also great. You would get the jet black colour at the first coat itself, but of course, how many coats needs to be applied depends upon the user. It finishes off with a matte effect, but its not the hardcore matte that I am talking about.  It has a slight glossiness to it which just adds to the beauty of the product, but the only problem is the availability of this brand.  I don’t understand how come this brand is not marketed even after so much success with the customers. It’s a fantastic product, comes at an attractive price.

Pros of VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04:

• Inexpensive.
• Aesthetically attractive.
• Precision brush.
• Stays on for 5-7 hours.
• Waterproof.
• Doesn’t smudge or fade away.
• Jet black in just one layer.
• Matte, but has a very light sheen to it.
• Does not irritate the eyes.
• Doesn’t smudge, but can be easily removed with the makeup remover.
• Value for money.

VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet

Hello girlies,

Here I am with one more review from VOV. It is a gloss named “Scarlet” from the water shine liquid lip colour range. The last time I went to a local shop I guess I picked up 6-7 of these VOV glosses as I was trying their glosses for the first time. I picked up only one brown and the others were peachy pink ones as I don’t apply lot of browns , so skipped them. There were about 20-22 shades in this range. So let’s see how this shade worked for me .

My experience with VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

I mostly pick up glosses that are either in pink, peach or corals or simply sheer ones. Purples and browns are not my cup of tea actually. I only wear browns for  some functions to match my outfits. Talking about the packaging, it comes in a plastic cylindrical bottle with a silver line in the middle and with a black top. The packaging looks quite decent according to the price we pay. It does not look cheap at all. It is made up of plastic, a thick one so does not break even if it falls hard. It is 5 centimetres smaller than the palm size , so handy to carry. One thing I saw are these alphabets on the bottle and they were L, I, P, O, S. I think they wanted to put alphabets spelling lipgloss but they forgot to put a G lol, so that was one packaging error that I noticed. The shade is a beautiful peachy pink one and looks really pretty when applied. The shade is actually noticeable and makes your face look brighter but this is a dark pink shade so heavy eye make-up should be avoided when this is applied. It makes the face look even brighter.

This may surely suit Indian skin tones as it somewhere near fuchsia but not exactly, so this becomes a good pick for those who think they cannot carry dark fuchsia shades. It smells very cute almost like those pickwick vanilla flavoured biscuits and I love that smell, a mild one and not that very overpowering. The shade is very pigmented and it is exactly the colour that we can see from outside the bottle. One swipe is more than enough as the shade is pigmented and if you apply more swipes it will become too heavy and thick. The texture is creamy and a little thick and I am happy it does not have shimmers. It does give a nice water shine as the name suggests and your lips do look fuller and glossy. The staying power was quite good, the entire colour stayed on my lips for two hours and then it slowly started to fade but the pink shade was always there on my lips, I mean it did not give me bare lips like I haven’t applied anything. As it’s a dark shade it takes a long time in completely fading away and that is a plus point for us. Overall obviously we have tried better brands but this is not bad. It is worth all the price we put in. Because I have noticed that when we buy inexpensive glosses they just give shine and nothing else, so that thing sets this one apart.

Pros of VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

-Very cheap.
-Nice pigmentation.
-A huge range of shades to select from having browns, purples, pinks and peaches and clear ones as well.
-Lasts for 2 hours and the entire shade goes only after 6-7 hours, it has a cute pink colour on your lips even when the original colour has gone off.
-Packaging is sturdy.
-Cute vanilla smell.
-The texture is very creamy.

Cons of VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

-Availability.
-Packaging errors.
-Need to spend at least 3-5 minutes to apply this gloss or else it would be uneven.

 
Will I repurchase/recommend VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet?

Yes I will purchase this shade again as I really liked it and they are quite affordable as well. I will tell you guys to give this brand a chance , they have nice shades with good pigmentation at dirt cheap price compared to   expensive brands.

My experience with VOV Water Shine Liquid Lip Color in Caramel Glaze

As I already told you I am becoming a fan of VOV products, and entered into a fancy store and started looking for VOV products, thus many variants of VOV lip color caught my attention: P

There were many shades to pick from, but I chose to buy Caramel Glaze just because I never had any brown shade gloss / lipstick. This shade would suit many of us. It is sort of pale brown color.

Now coming to the packaging, it comes in small see through tube. The tube is cute and sturdy, easy to carry in a purse as it occupies very small space The brush is very soft, it glides smoothly over the lips. Texture of the lip color is creamy and bit thick. It has a nice floral smell. Keeps the lip moisturized, pigmentation is good. But it easily transfers to cups and needs to be applied every 2-3 hours.

Overall its a great product, and nice shade for office goers to keep the look casual

VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner

Hi everybody,

It is amazing weather nowadays. Monsoons have finally come to our north India too. Clicking pictures outside has become all the more fun.
Ok, today I am going to review a lip liner from VOV in the shade pretty pink 05. No, I am not starting a series of reviews on VOV liners now. This is the only one I have got from the brand.

Price: I really do not remember the price as I paid for it together with many other products.

My experience with VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner:

This one comes in a long pencil form. The body of the liner pencil is the same colour as the shade is. This makes it very easy to find in the stash.

This is a nude brownish pink shade. As I collect more than 50% of nude shades, I wanted to have this to line my lips with each of them. This is smooth to glide on but at the same time stiff enough to line the lips without breaking off. This does not tug and is very soft on the lips as a liner. If you try to fill your lips with this one, it would become a little drying as you can see in the swatches. If at all I want to wear it instead of lipstick, I apply a clear gloss over it to overcome the dryness. This combo works well with smokey eye look. College goers- this is a must have for you. Girls having pigmented lips cannot use it to fill the lips though.

As a liner it works well and does not bleed. It is not smudge proof or water-proof at the same time.

This pencil is not ultra soft, so chances of tip breakage are less. Also, product wastage while sharpening is less. It is a versatile shade and can be put to use with many nude brown and pink lipsticks.

When I used it to fill the lips, it stayed for 2-3 hours. Though it does not stay for long, it is still one of my favourites because of the shade. Overall, VOV offers reasonable liners with a variety of shades which can be experimented with. My only problem with these is that they do not mention the ingredients.

Why say yes to VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner:

• It is a very pretty shade to be used with nude lipsticks.
• It is smooth enough to glide on the lips.
• It is a long pencil which would serve for long too.
• The body is same colored as the actual shade of the liner, which makes it easy to find in the collection.
• It is available at a very reasonable price.
• So many shades to choose from.
• Can be used as a lip colour with a lip balm beneath or over it.

Why say no to VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner:

• It is not smudge-proof or water proof.
• It does not stay for long.
• If it is used to fill the lips, it can be very drying.
• Availability is a major issue with VOV products.

Will I repurchase VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner?

Yes, definitely as it goes with various shades of lipsticks in my collection.

Will I recommend VOV Pretty Pink 05 Lip Liner?

Yes. If you use nude shades of lipsticks it will be great pick for you.

VOV Fruit Lip Balm in Strawberry

Hi all, hope you guys are doing good. Today I am reviewing a daily essential item i.e. lip balm from VOV. This was just a casual buy so here goes the review:

Price: INR 50

Product Claims: Sweet + Fruity Lip Gloss for added Shine and Protection.

Ingredients: Not mentioned.

My experience with VOV Fruit Lip Balm in Strawberry:

I have extremely dry lips which stay dry all year round resulting to chapped lips. So I have to carry a lip balm all the time wherever I go. I have used lip balms from Lotus, Nivea and Maybelline and recently I spotted VOV lip balm and immediately bought it as the packaging was so damn cute. The lip balm comes in a very small transparent tub container which is very easy to carry but you have to apply the balm using your fingers which is so unhygienic and irritating.

The balm is in dark pink shade and is in semi liquid viscous form. It spreads very easily on the lips and gives out amazing strawberry fragrance. It also adds a pinkish tinge on the lips and gives a long lasting shine. It moisturized my lips well and prevented chapping. It stays for almost 4 hours after which the shine fades away although the lips remain moist and soft. Overall a decent product available at a
very cheap price.

Pros of VOV Fruit Lip Balm in Strawberry:

• Added shine to my lips
• Moisturised it well
• Prevents chapping
• Inexpensive
• Travel friendly and sturdy packaging
• Amazing fragrance
• Spreads easily
• Long lasting

• Have to apply using finger which is not so hygienic
• No ingredient list or shelf life mentioned
• No SPF

Will I repurchase VOV Fruit Lip Balm in Strawberry again:

No as the market is flooded with various kinds of lip balms and would like to try different brands.

VOV Candy Lipstick Review

My Experience with VOV Candy Lipstick:

Talking of the texture, it is smooth and buttery kind. The smoothness remains for a long time and does not set like a completely dry matte lipstick unlike many long-staying lipsticks. The sheen of the freshly applied coat remains on my lips for a fairly long time and I should tell you that my lips are dry. The feel on the lips is neither drying nor saucy – somewhere in between. I like glossy lipsticks more than the matte ones, but when you want your lipstick to stay put for long hours; you have to go with a matte one. Well, this one is my friend, serves both the purposes, it is not dry matte and it stays for long too – that is the reason you have seen me hoarding these.

It is completely odourless unlike other lipsticks of lower price range. I generally do not like any fragrance in lipsticks. They are a big turn off for me.

About the shade, I would say it is brick red kind of a shade. You cannot call it a blood red, nor a maroon, not even cherry. I can relate it to bricks. It is not an everyday shade for me.  I wear it on evening out or some formal occasions. Married women can use it as an everyday shade. I picked it for the unique hint of color this shade has. One swipe is enough for the color to fully show up. If you swipe more, it would bleed a little. It can be used by people with pigmented lips too. Also, it would suit almost all skin tones.

I have already told you about its impressive staying power. It goes for around 4-5 hours without any meal or sips. After that, it fades evenly. If you eat something, the color would lighten, but it would be there. When you try to remove with cotton, you will have to take a wet cotton, it does not go completely with a dry one.

In short, this is a lipstick worth trying.  For shades that you might not purchase from a high-end brand, you can try them in VOV at very cheap prices. In my experience, the ultra smooth moisturizing range has better variety of shades to offer than this one. I am still fond of each shade bought from the two ranges I have reviewed.

Pros of VOV Candy Lipstick:

• Classy packaging with visible shade at the bottom.
• Pretty shade which I wear on occasions.
• Smooth formulation.
• Completely odourless.
• Stays for long on the lips without drying out the lips.
• Comes at a low price.

Cons of VOV Candy Lipstick:

• The glass packaging is prone to breakage.
• The rotating mechanism of the lipstick bullet may go wrong some times.
• No ingredients mentioned.
• Availability is an issue. VOV really needs to make its products available everywhere specially after manufacturing with such good quality.

Will I Repurchase VOV Candy Lipstick?

No, I will keep experimenting with newer shades.

Do I Recommend VOV Candy Lipstick?

I would ask everybody to try these lipsticks.

VOV Glam Shine Eyeliner – Navy Blue

Around 200 I think, as far as I can recall.

I got this long ago, when I was really into this online “sale ends in ** hours” kind of shopping, and I had just turned into a crazy hoarder. I dont know how many colors I had bought, and some of them actually were nice shine blacks, and this one caught my eye today, since I am moving towards blue eye liners, this one called out to me, from some corner of the cupboard.

This one is named navy blue but it is not at all a navy,it is an out and out metallic blue color, and i think most of us would not wear it often, just a hint of this bright color is enough to brighten the eye but then you can wear any other makeup with this one.

The color is a bright metallic one, the finish is shiny like you can see and the texture is thick-ish, it is not runny at all, the texture is thick and might have gone a litle gloopy over time but I recall these were never light. Since the color is so deep, it can get a little streaky,pigmentation is good enought so you dont need to make the liner very thick but then you have to go over the streaks once more to get the deeper even blue on the eye.

The brush is stiff and the bristle are short, I quite like it, but it does not help with the streaki-ness at all, I like the packaging too, with all the silver cap happening and a transparent cap to locate the shade at once.

Coming to the staying power, I would say this stays on for about three hours and then you notice your liner flaking and cracking, since the texture is thick,no it is not much noticeable but you can wear it for three more hours easily, I cant say it is water proof but a little splashing of water does not melt the liner down, but yes prolonged water contact will melt it down.

Now coming to a major con, I think I felt a slight stinging sensation in the inner corner of the eye, usually I wear many liners but never face this issue, it made think of this liner as loaded with some color chemicals or something, though I was under the fan and the stinging did not bother me much, but if you have sensitive eye you can avoid it.

Over all I wont wear this color often, it stands our a lot, but if you like metallic blues that are pigmented, you can try this, sensitive eyes avoid. It is named wrongly as Navy.

How are you doing today? Hope everything is fine! I am back to share another beauty tool from my vanity kit which I had bought on an impulse some time back. I have tried many eye lash curlers before, but Japonesque Go Curl Eyelash Curler is my most favorite. However, this VOV Eyelash Curler did surprise me with its easy handling and ‘no pinch’ effective results especially after my not so good experience with Revlon Eyelash Curler! I find it quite good and economic. So, let’s read on to more about VOV Noble Black Beauty Tools Eyelash Curler!

My Experience with VOV Noble Black Beauty Tools Eyelash Curler:

This eyelash curler comes in a transparent, not so fragile plastic box; nothing fancy. It is designed in order to give free space to our fingers for easy grip and much control while working on eyelashes, which is good. I travelled all the way to India with this tool and it did not show any signs of accidental breakage or fragile body which explains that it is pretty travel friendly beauty tool.

The design of this eyelash curler is pretty much similar to any stainless steel curler just that it does not have scissor like handles which makes it easy peasy while handling and working with lashes. It also comes with rubber padding which ensures minimal or no accidents while working on lashes, thankfully. This metal curler has blunt curling plates unlike previous Revlon one which was very thin and used to pinch.

I mean, the metallic curling plates in this curler are not very sharp. But, they appear and feel blunt to me which helps in avoiding any kind of pinching or tugging/pulling while curling the lashes. And additional rubber padding is a bonus as it gives pain free results. The curler seems slightly bigger for my medium-small eyes and it takes a bit of time to achieve fully curled lashes. But, I am fine with it since it effectively curls lashes in one single stroke. The curls stay put for decent hours with or without mascara to my liking.

I am also impressed to see that it never tugs, pulls and pinches my delicate eye area as it is mild on my lashes. It has never accentuated major lash fall, luckily. However, I do feel that we have many great products and lash curling tools in the market now, but this metallic curler is no less than those great tools!

Moreover, for amateurs and beginners like me, VOV lash curler is worth; especially for people who like to start with cheaper, but quality tools! I think it will last me years considering its strong, metallic build up and hence, I would like to proceed with other tools. But, this is definitely a great start for everyone!

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of VOV Noble Black Beauty Tools Eyelash Curler:

• A strong, metallic eyelash curler meant for big, bold eyes
• Gives the look of wide opened eyes with curled lashes that stay put for hours
• The curling plates are not sharp which helps in avoiding eyelash damage
• The rubber padding is an additional bonus
• It has never caused any breakage or shedding my delicate lashes
• It curls lashes with one or maximum two strokes
• The ergonomic design helps with easy handling
• Quite user friendly, travel friendly and pocket friendly

Cons of VOV Noble Black Beauty Tools Eyelash Curler:

• It seems slightly bigger for my small-medium eyes

Well, other than these cons which are actually related to my small-medium eyes and not to the tool, I don’t think I have any major concern. I find it quite easy to handle and effective with curling. I feel this could be a decent start for beginners considering its results and the price!

VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04 Review

Today, I will be reviewing a liquid eyeliner I bought from “VOV” a couple of days back, and I couldn’t wait to share all about it with my dear IMBBians.  This is my first ever eye makeup from the said brand. So far whatever I have used from VOV has given me great results, and now, without any second thoughts, I can tell VOV is one of the best brands available in the market, if only it was marketed more and nothing different with this product as well, it was just so good!!

The eyeliner is a total value for money product. It comes in a long, pointed metallic colored, shiny maroon cap and the body is a black one. The cap is a screw one, but closes off and opens with a little “tick” sound. The whole thing has a girly and trendy look to it.  The little bottle along with a curve adds an extra dose of oomph to it. Comes with a precision tip for easy application, and could also be used by those who are beginners in the makeup world.

My Experience with VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04:

As we are all aware, VOV offers value for money products. Everything about the eyeliner is so satisfactory, be it the packaging, the look of it, the brush and its application or the quality of the content inside. Its waterproof and smudge proof, so it’s really not a problem if you are wearing it on a hot summer day and then if you start to sweat, but after application, you just have to be a little bit patient as it takes about 20-25 seconds to set properly, and after that you are all done.  It will stay on your upper/lower lids for about 5-7 hours and you wouldn’t need to worry about it.

The color pay off is also great. You would get the jet black colour at the first coat itself, but of course, how many coats needs to be applied depends upon the user. It finishes off with a matte effect, but its not the hardcore matte that I am talking about.  It has a slight glossiness to it which just adds to the beauty of the product, but the only problem is the availability of this brand.  I don’t understand how come this brand is not marketed even after so much success with the customers. It’s a fantastic product, comes at an attractive price.

Pros of VOV Waterproof Eyeliner in LG-04:

• Inexpensive.
• Aesthetically attractive.
• Precision brush.
• Stays on for 5-7 hours.
• Waterproof.
• Doesn’t smudge or fade away.
• Jet black in just one layer.
• Matte, but has a very light sheen to it.
• Does not irritate the eyes.
• Doesn’t smudge, but can be easily removed with the makeup remover.
• Value for money.

VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet

Here I am with one more review from VOV. It is a gloss named “Scarlet” from the water shine liquid lip colour range. The last time I went to a local shop I guess I picked up 6-7 of these VOV glosses as I was trying their glosses for the first time. I picked up only one brown and the others were peachy pink ones as I don’t apply lot of browns , so skipped them. There were about 20-22 shades in this range. So let’s see how this shade worked for me .

My experience with VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

I mostly pick up glosses that are either in pink, peach or corals or simply sheer ones. Purples and browns are not my cup of tea actually. I only wear browns for  some functions to match my outfits. Talking about the packaging, it comes in a plastic cylindrical bottle with a silver line in the middle and with a black top. The packaging looks quite decent according to the price we pay. It does not look cheap at all. It is made up of plastic, a thick one so does not break even if it falls hard. It is 5 centimetres smaller than the palm size , so handy to carry. One thing I saw are these alphabets on the bottle and they were L, I, P, O, S. I think they wanted to put alphabets spelling lipgloss but they forgot to put a G lol, so that was one packaging error that I noticed. The shade is a beautiful peachy pink one and looks really pretty when applied. The shade is actually noticeable and makes your face look brighter but this is a dark pink shade so heavy eye make-up should be avoided when this is applied. It makes the face look even brighter.

This may surely suit Indian skin tones as it somewhere near fuchsia but not exactly, so this becomes a good pick for those who think they cannot carry dark fuchsia shades. It smells very cute almost like those pickwick vanilla flavoured biscuits and I love that smell, a mild one and not that very overpowering. The shade is very pigmented and it is exactly the colour that we can see from outside the bottle. One swipe is more than enough as the shade is pigmented and if you apply more swipes it will become too heavy and thick. The texture is creamy and a little thick and I am happy it does not have shimmers. It does give a nice water shine as the name suggests and your lips do look fuller and glossy. The staying power was quite good, the entire colour stayed on my lips for two hours and then it slowly started to fade but the pink shade was always there on my lips, I mean it did not give me bare lips like I haven’t applied anything. As it’s a dark shade it takes a long time in completely fading away and that is a plus point for us. Overall obviously we have tried better brands but this is not bad. It is worth all the price we put in. Because I have noticed that when we buy inexpensive glosses they just give shine and nothing else, so that thing sets this one apart.

Pros of VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

-Very cheap.
-Nice pigmentation.
-A huge range of shades to select from having browns, purples, pinks and peaches and clear ones as well.
-Lasts for 2 hours and the entire shade goes only after 6-7 hours, it has a cute pink colour on your lips even when the original colour has gone off.
-Packaging is sturdy.
-Cute vanilla smell.
-The texture is very creamy.

Cons of VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet:

-Availability.
-Packaging errors.
-Need to spend at least 3-5 minutes to apply this gloss or else it would be uneven.

 
Will I repurchase/recommend VOV Water Shine Liquid Lipcolour – Scarlet?

Yes I will purchase this shade again as I really liked it and they are quite affordable as well. I will tell you guys to give this brand a chance , they have nice shades with good pigmentation at dirt cheap price compared to   expensive brands.

Off late I am becoming a fan of VOV products I get tempted to buy VOV products these days So today my review is on VOV Water Shine Liquid Lip Color in Caramel Glaze.

My experience with VOV Water Shine Liquid Lip Color in Caramel Glaze

As I already told you I am becoming a fan of VOV products, and entered into a fancy store and started looking for VOV products, thus many variants of VOV lip color caught my attention: P

There were many shades to pick from, but I chose to buy Caramel Glaze just because I never had any brown shade gloss / lipstick. This shade would suit many of us. It is sort of pale brown color.

Now coming to the packaging, it comes in small see through tube. The tube is cute and sturdy, easy to carry in a purse as it occupies very small space The brush is very soft, it glides smoothly over the lips. Texture of the lip color is creamy and bit thick. It has a nice floral smell. Keeps the lip moisturized, pigmentation is good. But it easily transfers to cups and needs to be applied every 2-3 hours.

Overall its a great product, and nice shade for office goers to keep the look casual *hifive*
